Pitney Bowes sponsors playground makeover
Pitney Bowes, the mail and messaging specialist headquartered in Harlow, has donated £7000 to a local school to develop its playground.
Holy Cross Catholic Primary School will benefit from the installation of Early Years play equipment and safety flooring totalling £8500 after the Preschool and school PTA added to the donation from Pitney Bowes.
Stuart Bonthrone, MD UK & Republic of Ireland, Pitney Bowes, comments, “Pitney Bowes is committed to literacy and education and we see this as a great opportunity to support and encourage the children in this area. By providing the funds for Holy Cross to buy playground equipment, we can help the children enjoy a fun and active school life.”
The new equipment, including a log train and a play system, was installed during the August holiday period in time for the children’s return to school in September, and will be officially unveiled on 4th October by Stuart Bonthrone, Headmistress Sue McGuigan and Pre School Director Ann Tierney.
Sue comments, “On behalf of the children and staff here at Holy Cross school and Pre School I would like to thank Pitney Bowes for their generous contribution. The refurbished playground has enabled us to provide a stimulating environment that will encourage the children to play and interact with each other during the day.”
